Kid's Day at the Saginaw Art Museum is part of the Great Lakes Bay En Plein Air Festival happening June 13-18, 2016. Kid's Day is an entirely free event for kids of all ages to participate and learn about art! We will have numerous stations set up outside or indoors, weather dependent. Stations include: sidewalk chalk, Harold and the Purple Crayon, collaborative mural, origami flowers, painting with sponges, interpretive poetry and terracotta pinch pots. Volunteers will run a station or float through area to assist where needed.

Description

Housed in an historical 1903 Georgian-Revival Mansion with Italianate gardens and two award-winning modern wings, the museum has a permanent collection of art, a dynamic exhibition program, a reference library, collaborative education programs, cultural entertainment and a children's interactive gallery. The museum offers classes, tours, lectures, festivals and facility rentals.
