Help members of your community make healthier food choices! Cooking Matters will be holding a community event day at the Mars of Edgewood, educating people about making healthy food choices while stretching their food budgets.
Volunteers are needed to help with registration or to discuss one of the following: produce, whole grains, dairy or protein. Engage participants in conversations about healthy eating, give them healthy recipes, and learn more about healthy eating as well as your community members!
There will be TWO shifts: one between 11:30-2:30 and 2:00-5:00. No Experience Necessary! We will provide you with training and additional support as needed.

Description
Parents and caregivers are learning the cooking, budgeting, and decision-making food skills they need to get the most out of federal food and nutrition programs through Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters program. Cooking Matters participants learn to shop strategically and use practical nutrition information to guide their food choices and cook healthy, delicious meals.
