Do you like good vibes? If so, you've got to join Lamp Community to throw a fun party for homeless clients who are battling chronic illnesses and looking to make a change. Volunteers are needed to help set up, tear down, play some board games with residents and serve refreshments. Feel free to bring your favorite board game to play! This is a great way to motivate individuals to keep pursuing supportive services (including permanent housing) and show folks with significant challenges that the community cares about them!

The People Concern believes no one should have to live on the street or in a violent household. Our staff, volunteers and those we serve work together to address the effects of homelessness, poverty, mental and physical illness, abuse and addiction. Our programs empower the most vulnerable among us to improve their quality of life - housed, healthy and safe - and become active participants in the community. We also work to educate the broader community and improve public policy.
Description
The People Concern empowers the most vulnerable among us to rebuild their lives. As one of Los Angeles County’s largest social services agencies, we provide a fully integrated system of care - including mental and medical health care, substance abuse services, and housing - tailored to the unique needs of homeless individuals, survivors of domestic violence, challenged youth, and others who have nowhere else to turn.
