Open only to girls in high school, this prestigious award challenges young women to change the world. By the time she puts the final touches on her seven-step project, she'll have solved a community problem?not only in the short term, but for years into the future. This is a wonderful position for Girl Scout alumnae, past Gold Award recipients or even individuals who just have a passion for mentoring outstanding youth!

When people think about Girl Scouts, they think crafts, cookies, and camp but a lot has changed in 103 years. Here at the Girl Scouts, Hornets’ Nest Council our girls get their hands dirty with bugs and bones, put their minds to work on science and engineering projects, challenge their body and minds with challenge courses and 5k’s, help breast cancer patients survive their toughest moments, and build lasting relationships with fellow Girl Scouts. We serve extraordinary girls in Anson, Cabarrus, Mecklenburg, Montgomery, Rowan, Stanly, Union and York counties and we are always in need of extraordinary adults to help our girls reach their full potential.
