Pretty in Pink Smile
Pretty in Pink!

Volunteer to babysit little children to support moms receiving services at Liberation Programs' Families in Recovery Program (FIRP), Liberation's inpatient treatment program for women recovering from addiction to alcohol or drugs. FIRP is unique in Fairfield County as the program accepts parenting and pregnant women who may bring up to two children up to the age of 10 to stay with them while they are in treatment.

Weekday mornings from 9:15 until noon.

Volunteers work with the Child Specialist to babysit and provide activities for children newborn and up to the age of 10, as well as provide administrative support to the Child Specialist.

The number of children can vary - sometimes there are three or four newborns, an infant or two, and a couple of toddlers. Occasionally there may be only one baby to watch over as the FIRP team works to help moms reunite with children from whom they have been separated.

We really appreciate volunteers that love children of all ages and want to be part of a group of professionals that care for kids and their moms in a patient, non-judgmental way.
