High school & college age youth earn community service; adults/retirees/empty-nesters enjoy giving and getting love by volunteering to help our kitties in just 3 hours a week! We need reliable persons to be cage cleaners and socializers in our 24/7 Cat Adoption Center in the Petsmart Brea (Imperial/Kraemer). List of open shifts sent to you in advance. If we keep our cats happy & healthy we can find them homes and give more kitties a chance! Vet tech skills welcomed! Must answer all questions on application including complete information for Community Service Hours for both high school and college age students. Mission Statement
To provide a conduit (bridge) for abandoned and released cats and dogs to be placed in forever homes; To provide a sanctuary for unadoptable cats and dogs and feral cats to live out their lives in a clean, healthy environment with appropriate vet care support as needed.
Description
Established in May 2012, the Cats In Tow Rescue & Sanctuary cares for adoptable cats at the Cat Adoption Center at Petsmart Brea, Imperial/Kraemer 24/7 and holds weekend adoption shows. We maintain sanctuary cats and practice TNR. We always need help to make sure our cats/kittens are well socialized and adoptable. Volunteers are part of a large team that perform a number of necessary tasks in order to keep the program running smoothly. Our cats are featured on Adopt a Pet.com and on Facebook.com/Cats InTow plus our blog. Fosters always needed!
