Find a sense of fulfillment in giving a helping hand to your local community as well as the efforts of Mennonite Central Committee (MCC). The Re-Uzit Shop of New Holland, Inc. is dedicated to helping raise funds for MCC relief efforts around the world and many other local charities as well. Cashiers: We are looking for more volunteer cashiers so that we can cover all 4 registers between our 1st and 2nd floors. We have 2 shifts available Monday-Friday 9-1 and 1-5 with an additional shift on Fridays 5-8. Cashiers should be friendly, courteous and patient. We have a user friendly Point-of-Sales (POS) system that makes it easy for anyone to work our registers!
Sorting/pricing: We are looking for more volunteers in our sorting and pricing departments. All of the donations brought to our facility go through different steps to sort out goods that we keep or pass. The items that we keep are then separated into household, clothing, toys, crafts, etc. to be priced. We have several areas where goods are priced and made ready to be stocked on to the sales floor.
Stocking/Recovery: We have a large retail space that is always in need of restocking and clean up. We are in need of volunteers to replenish the retail floor throughout the day, return clothing from fitting rooms, and general clean up of departments. Receivers: We are looking for younger able people capable of lifting up to at least 50lbs. Our busiest days are currently Mondays and Saturdays. Receivers help bring donations in as they come in throughout the day at the donation dock and in the receiving/processing area. Receivers also help clean, repair and put furniture out on the sales floor as needed. We have recently made some improvements to our dock, including new signage and easily accessable stairs!
We always encourage skilled volunteers to help out with side projects that help improve our store. We always need volunteers!
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Groups are welcome!
- Community Service required are welcome!

We are a thrift shop that sells clothing, books, cards, jewelry, furniture and household items. You can find antiques and unique items on our Silent Auction, Sealed Bid or eBay page!
Profits from the Re-Uzit Shop are sent to the Mennonite Central Committee. MCC provides food, health, school, and relief supplies for people in need locally and throughout the world.
