Volunteer needed ASAP to teach Junior Achievement's "JA Our City" curriculum to 3rd grade at Twin Lakes Academy Elementary.
This is one out of two 3rd grade classrooms at the school who need Junior Achievement volunteers.
The time commitment is one 45 minute lesson during school hours, once a week, for 5 weeks. The day and time you come in is decided between you and the teacher.
You would teach the 3rd grade "JA Our City" program. It consists of 5 lessons that introduces students to the basics of financial literacy, the characteristics of cities, and how people and businesses in cities manage their money.
No teaching experience is required!
Junior Achievement's programs are professionally developed and teach concepts of financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. Our program staff will train you and provide a program "kit" that contains all materials needed to teach the lessons, including a guidebook.
