Inviting all Veterans and Military Families, in honor of Memorial Day, to join us for a ceremony to honor those who served in the military at the Sacramento Historic City Cemetery at 1000 Broadway, Sacramento 95818 and for a morning of service to the community on Saturday, May 23 rd from 9 am to 11 am. The ceremony will begin at 11 am and is sponsored by the Veterans Affiliated Council of Sacramento. Everyone is welcome to stay to participate in the ceremony. Volunteers representing the military are encouraged to wear their military hat or t-shirt with affiliation. Volunteering together, participants will help to beautify and clean up the cemetery grounds before the ceremony begins. Please bring work gloves if you have them and wear closed-toe shoes. Supplies and supervision will be provided. All volunteers will need to complete a City of Sacramento Short-term Volunteer Information and Agreement Form prior to starting work. To simplify the check-in process on the day of the event, it is helpful to download the form and bring it already signed.
