Capital Arts Gallery is seeking a credible and reliable Education Director. This person will work closely with our Executive Director to oversee our year-round classes and arts education programs. Duties will include research on the visual arts education industry, creating new education opportunities, strengthening existing programs and teacher recruitment.

The mission of Capital Arts is to promote and provide services in the visual arts, by offering education and art opportunities to the public and by providing a venue for practicing artists.
Description
Capital Arts provides artistic opportunities year round including studio classes for children and adults and the Imagination Station. The Capital Arts Gallery provides a space for artists to exhibit and sell their work. Capital Arts hosts the annual Street Art Fair held in downtown Jefferson City with Jazzfest. Here artists of all ages and experience levels participate in a chalk art competition.
Volunteer opportunities at Capital Arts are not only fun but flexible. If you are only interested in part of a position or have limited availability just let us know! We are happy to work with you. All positions offer an opportunity to learn and grow over time in the areas that interest you.
Capital Arts accommodates students in interested accredited internship programs or capstone opportunities offered at their school.
