Pick Up Food for Clients: Volunteer Driver(s) Needed!

We are looking for 1-2 volunteers to pick up food from a local organization and bring it back to PCAF (Tacoma office) for distribution to our clients. The workers at the warehouse where food will be picked up will load the car and PCAF staff will help unload the car. We just need a driver or two!

This opportunity is a weekly commitment on Wednesday afternoons (1:30pm) and long-term commitment is essential.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 or older
  • Must have a valid driver's license and current vehicle insurance
  • Consistent access to vehicle

Commitment: Volunteer(s) must commitment to every Wednesday afternoon for at least 3 months.

Training: All PCAF volunteers must attend New Volunteer Orientation and complete a criminal background check.

Benefits: Volunteers will gain knowledge about PCAF and HIV/AIDS through orientation. Volunteers will make a difference at the agency by helping provide nutiritonal food to clients.

Description

PCAF is a non-profit organization established in 1987 to respond to the needs of persons living with HIV/AIDS. In 2012 PCAF expanded its services by establishing a second office in Olympia, Washington. Today, PCAF serves Pierce, Thurston, and Lewis Counties.

PCAF is dedicated to assisting persons living with HIV/AIDS to meet their needs for food, housing, healthcare and personal support. PCAF provides personalized case management services to people living with HIV/AIDS and extensive outreach/education/prevention programming to help stop the spread of HIV and combat HIV related stigma.
