Image is a girls' empowerment "movement" whose purpose is to substantially reduce delinquency, self-abusive behaviors and low self-esteem of girls. We feel that it is imperative to identify the risk factors associated with female adolescent problem behaviors, such as failure to complete high school, teen pregnancy and parenting, low self esteem and prior victimization, to help prevent girls from engaging in delinquent behaviors.
The Leadership academy provides a variety of fun, engaging and thought provoking activities to educate and provide positive modeling to girls ages 10 - 17. Our volunteers support these activities as workshop leaders, mentors, chaparones, marketing and administratively.
