The Research Volunteer will conduct interviews with past ANA clients in order to determine the impact of our programs and services. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.

This is an excellent opportunity anyone with interest in the fields of microenterprise, immigration, women's issues, economics or the social sciences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct telephone or in-person interviews with past ANA clients
  • Enter client survey responses and update client information in ANA's database
  • Follow up with clients to clarify inconsistencies or incomplete responses
  • Communicate with team members consistently and effectively
  • Attend all team meetings throughout the course of the project
  • Other tasks related to the survey project as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience conducting research interviews / surveys preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines
  • Interest and/or studies in women's issues, immigration, microfinance, or social science
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Demonstrated communication and time management skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, email and web-based databases
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate surveying during non-business hours (evenings and weekends)
  • Personal computer with internet access and telephone
