PurpleStride is the signature event of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. Each year, in communities across the country, tens of thousands of people participate in more than fifty-six PurpleStride events, including PurpleStride Detroit. These events are critical in raising awareness and funds that advance research and support patients and loved ones with a promise of a better tomorrow.
Volunteers are needed on event day to register participants, host the survivor tent, pass out t-shirts, staff donation tables, cheer on walkers, and more.

Description
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is the national organization creating hope in a comprehensive way through research, patient support, community outreach and government advocacy. The organization raises money for direct private funding of research - and advocates for more aggressive federal research funding of medical breakthroughs in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cancer.
