Golden Paw Society is looking for young helpers (1x a month) for our adoption events.
We host an adoption event monthly and alternate between our two store locations
• Petco huntington station
• Petsmart Commack
We provide a balanced shift 2-3 hours depending on the volunteers availability. Volunteers get an opportunity to play/spend time with the cats. We ask for help soliciting donations from customers (food/litter/monitary). We have an event team who creates raffle baskets, and baked goods for sale to customers in exchange for donating to GPS. Adult volunteers are present the entirety of the day to help support our young team!
PERFECT for students needing community service hours for school, bar/bat mitzvahs, etc.
our next event is 4/25-26 at PETCO in Huntington Station

About Golden Paw Society
Location:
260 Broadway, Huntington Station, NY 11746, US
Mission Statement
Golden Paw Society is an exclusively charitable all-volunteer organization (501c3 tax-exempt) dedicated to the rescue of cats who have been in municipal shelters for an extended period of time and/or who exhibit a dire need of removal from the shelter setting. We believe that no matter how old, sick or 'difficult' a cat may be, each cat deserves to be loved, cared for and given a second chance, and we endeavor to provide that second chance to those cats who need us most.
Description
Founded in 2012, we've spent the past ten years rescuing just over 2800 cats so far! All of our cats are rescued from municipal shelters and cared for by us at our Adoption Center in Huntington Station as well as Petsmart in Commack. As a non-profit, all-volunteer organization we rely completely on the kindness of others to be able to continue our rescue mission.
