We invite you to support Innovation to Enterprise initiatives for students at IUPUI, with opportunities to become involved at a variety of levels (speaking, mentoring, sponsorship, in-kind support, etc.). This will expand programs for student entrepreneurship education and experiential learning opportunities that are not typically part of the curriculum. Volunteers are needed to engage with students involved in our Innovation to Enterprise programs for innovation and entrepreneurship, including our annual JagStart "elevator pitch" competition, and student teams working to develop new products or new ventures through our JagStart Innovations program.

JagStart facilitates the creation and support of collaborative multidisciplinary research commercialization teams, consisting of students from multiple academic disciplines, faculty and other participants. The primary purpose of these teams is to provide undergraduate students a unique opportunity to work with mentors on learning about research innovations and exploring opportunities for their transformation into commercial enterprises. The experience is meant to promote students’ interest in invention and business development, in order to prepare the next generation of innovators and business leaders, who will contribute to the economic growth and social advancement of Indiana and the nation.

We also welcome assistance and support research commercialization initiatives taking place at IUPUI by its faculty, research scientists, and students. It provides an opportunity for the industry and business community, including corporate executives, investors, and entrepreneurs, to learn more about these initiatives, explore potential ventures, and lay the foundation for possible collaborations and partnerships.
