A Free Bird is a 501(C)(3)non-profit organization based in New York City. Our focus is to provide children, ages 6-18 who are patients or survivors of juvenile cancer, the opportunity to explore their artistic passions and give them the strength to fight their disease. We believe that artistic expression is critical for healing! A Free Bird supports children affected by cancer in their exploration of art, music, acting, poetry, writing, singing and any other artistic passion they may have.
Responsibilities:
Assist in development and publishing of AFB apps acting as the iOS consultant for iOS specific questions, inquiries, issues, and troubleshooting.
Overall Responsibilities:
-Working and communication with App team to conceptualize and plan creation of AFB app.
-Develop and review coding to ensure clarity and workability.
-Fixing defects, refactoring, and debugging app errors.
-Responsible for app deployment and maintenance on Apple Store.
-Provide iOS support and advice for App development team.
-Document application launch and updates.
-Must support and maintain mission goal and statement of organization.
Competencies:
-Has/working towards a degree towards Computer Science, Information Science, or related fields.
-Competency with math and software/app development.
-Proficiency and thorough understanding of the iOs operating system.
-Must have knowledge of PHP and Drupal 7.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
