The Home Chore Program connects volunteers with an older adult in their neighborhood. The volunteer visits weekly or bi-weekly for a few hours to help with tasks that have become difficult for the senior to do, such as vacuuming or dusting, helping with laundry or doing dishes. Other times the senior may need outdoor help such as mowing, raking or shoveling. Matches are made based both on the need of the older adult and the interests and time constraints of the volunteer. This is a great opportunity to meet someone new in your neighborhood and help an older adult stay in independent and in his/her own home.
