Volunteer Caller: Help keep the meals rolling at the Bellevue Senior Activity Center. A Volunteer caller is needed to call Meals on Wheels participants for their weekly meal order, and enter those orders into a user friendly computer program. The Volunteer caller may also be needed to help with additional office tasks. Availability to be at the Bellevue Senior Activity Center on Mondays, from 8:30am-11am is needed. The caller may also need to check messages remotely on Tuesday mornings and would need access to the internet to enter orders remotely. Training provided.
Qualifications: Reliability, versatility, accuracy, creative problem solving, sense of humor, and a commitment to the well-being of homebound seniors. This is an on-going volunteer commitment.
Requirements: Complete an application and a Washington State Patrol background check, have a current Washington State driver's license and auto insurance, and be able to lift bagged meals weighing up to 15 lbs.
As a Meals on Wheels Volunteer, you will belong to a team committed to helping homebound seniors maintain their health and independence with nutritious food, personal contact, and caring service.

Sound Generations, established in 1967, is Washington State's most comprehensive non-profit organization that supports people on their aging journey through community connections and accessible services. Established in 1967, we support almost 54,000 older adults, disabled persons, and those who care for them annually in King County.
Description
Our eleven programs operating throughout numerous community and senior center sites are constantly striving to expand the provision of food security, transportation, health & wellness, and assistance services to under served and marginalized populations. We are committed to helping all people, especially those in low-income communities and communities of color, obtain the services they need while feeling included and respected in a community that affirms aging.
