Engaging Creative Minds is looking for amazing individuals, 15 and older, to volunteer as camp counselors and classroom assistants. Our volunteers will be placed in classrooms with an artist, a lead teacher, and a support teacher to assist with projects and provide more one-on-one attention for our students. Camp runs for six weeks from June 13th through July 22nd and we ask for one full week commitment.
We are a local non-profit whose purpose is to provide creative learning opportunities that encourage imagination and innovation to help students achieve academically, stay engaged in school and succeed in life. In conjunction with the Charleston County School District, we are running the Summer STEAM institute, an arts-integrated summer program intended to address summer learning loss by offering engaging and innovative summer learning experiences, designed in collaboration with artists, cultural organizations, and STEM professionals, for students in grades 3-8.

Engaging Creative Minds' goals are:
- To provide all students equal access to quality learning opportunities based on the common core standards in all interested schools in the three county region;
- To increase student engagement in learning; and
- To increase the capacity of local organizations and individuals (Engaging Learning Experiences [ELE] Partners) to deliver highly impactful learning opportunities for students.
