Position Overview
Would you enjoy riding along with our Habitat for Humanity Seattle - King County Retail Store truck driver to secure donated items for the Habitat store?
We are seeking energetic people for the position of Driver’s Assistant. The Driver’s Assistant provides support to the Habitat for Humanity Seattle - King County truck driver. You will ride with the driver to pick up merchandise from donors, safely packing the merchandise in the truck, and unpacking the merchandise upon returning to the Habitat for Humanity store. You will help educate others on the many ways Habitat for Humanity retail stores contribute to strong families and strong communities throughout King County.
The Habitat for Humanity Retail Store is a unique retail environment that sells new and used donated building supplies, home improvement merchandise, and home furnishings. This is an opportunity to help Habitat for Humanity raise funds to support families in home ownership and strengthen and stabilize communities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with pick up of donated goods
- Load, secure, and unload donations
- Help maintain clean loading areas
- Clean and ready merchandise for display
- Straighten merchandise on selves and maintain a clean and orderly sales area
- Serve as the phone contact for the driver while on the road
- Enter all needed GPS information while on the road picking up merchandise
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Manager or Assistant Manager to facilitate a positive customer experience

Description
Habitat for Humanity of Seattle-King County works to eliminate substandard housing through constructing, renovating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions.
