In April 2015 the new Petco in Sanford (Next to the new Hobby Lobby across from Lowes Home Improvement) is opening and CARA will have their kitties in the store! We are looking for kitty loving individuals who can commit to one day a week (you would have your same day every week) to come into the store and check on our kitties. It would be about 20 minutes a week - or longer if you would like. Duties would include tidying up their space, refilling water bowls, scooping litter pans, and just giving the kitties love. We would prefer this to take place between 5pm and 8pm (the times are flexible) with the hours being a bit earlier on Sundays (between 4-6pm). We will have 4-6 kitties at the Petco location so its not going to be a major time commitment, but is necessary for us to have our Kitties at Petco and help them get adopted!

Description
At Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption (CARA) we are dedicated to finding permanent and loving families for the homeless dogs and cats of North Carolina. CARA began rescuing homeless animals from across N.C. in April 2003, and we have placed countless animals in wonderful homes across the country. CARA is dedicated to providing the best service possible to the animals in our care and the families who adopt from us. We take pride in adopting healthy animals and go to great lengths to pair each pet with the perfect family. CARA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer organization that operates on individual and corporate donations and fundraising proceeds. We do not receive any funding from government agencies or national animal welfare agencies. We are very fortunate to have a caring and dedicated team of volunteers, board members, and supporters.
