Friends of Carondelet Park and HHIA will sponsor a park clean-up on Saturday, April 18 to mark Earth Day. The clean-u starts at 8:30 am at the playground. Bring gloves, buckets (ay easier to use than trash bags) and garden tools if you have them; some will be available for loan. Kids are encouraged to participate and service hours are available. We'll be cleaning up rian or shine!

Mission Statement
Friends of Carondelet Park (FoCP)'s mission is to maintain the park's cultural and historical legacy and ensure its future as a unique, natural habitat and recreational area for the surrounding neighborhoods and city park lovers.
Description
FoCP was founded to raise funds and volunteer support to ensure the long-term preservation of this very special urban park. We accomplish our mission by partnering with parks and conservation departments and most importantly community groups, corporations and indivduals. FoCP offers biannual park cleanups, special events, educational programs and informational updates on the Master Plan implementation, and representation on the Park Advisory Board. FoCP works to expand the base of support for the park to begin much needed improvements in landscaping, reforestation, architectural restorations, bike/walking paths, and much more.
