If you are a supporter of the Middlesex Fells Reservation with an outgoing personality, then the Friends of the Fells needs your help!

Throughout the year, Friends of the Fells is represented at several events in the local communities - various "town days", fairs and expos, especially those oriented towards health and wellness, science and nature, conservation, youth programming, or general community-building. It has been a challenge to appear at all the events we would like as we are limited by the number of volunteers available to staff our table as well as support setup and breakdown.

During a typical two-hour shift at one of these events volunteers will:

• Engage members of the public to ensure they are aware of the Middlesex Fells Reservation

• Provide information and answer questions regarding the Reservation itself, and issues or topics of interest around it.

• Publicize Friends of the Fells hikes and programs

• Encourage people to join the Friends as members themselves

• Sell merchandise to benefit the Friends

If you sign up to help, we will provide you with background information on the Fells Reservation and the Friends of the Fells organization, as well as pairing you with a more experienced volunteer for 'on the job’ training. Your friendly and inquisitive manner will do the rest!

If you are a Friends of the Fells member in good standing (or are willing to become one) and you can commit to support at least two events over the course of the year (typically on weekends), working a two-hour shift at each event, then please contact us to join the Friends of the Fells Street Team!
