Each semester, the Red Cross looks to engage individuals in our Internship Positions. These positions vary semester-to-semester based on the current needs of each department in each of our offices across Wisconsin. Please see below for a list of internships currently open. Our internships are unpaid, office positions. They are a great opportunity to gain skills & knowledge working in a non-profit organization.
Summer 2015 (June-August) Internships:
Disaster Services Intern (La Crosse) - Primary responsibilities will include outreach, coordination, and execution of the Disaster Preparedness Programs. These events include, but are not limited to, the Home Fire Prevention / Smoke Alarm Installation campaign and the Pillowcase Project Youth Education campaign. Additional tasks and projects may include community partnership research, data analysis and entry, and volunteer engagement.
Fund Development Intern (La Crosse) - Primary responsibilities will include initial planning and coordination of single-day fundraising events as well as building community relationships. Additional task and projects may include community partnership research and data analysis.
Applicants must have strong written and verbal communication skills, be familiar with Microsoft Office products, have a strong attention to detail, and possess the initiative to work independently on projects.
10-15 hours per week. Specific work hours are flexible and can be negotiated in order to accommodate your schedule and our normal business hours.
