ORGANIZATION: Volunteers of America Northern Colorado Services

There's a seasoned fisherman who is itching to share his secrets (or at least a few) with another fisherman/woman. A good sense of humor and great listening skills are a must!

The Caring Companion program provides respite for two hours a week and serves older adults age 60 and older. Volunteers provide friendship to care receivers and emotional support, safety and reassurance, activities and companionship, respite for caregivers, and encouragement to use local resources.

Volunteers DO NOT provide personal care, lifting, or transferring, direct medical assistance or advice, housekeeping, meal preparation, transportation or case management. There is a waiting list for clients in Loveland, Berthoud, and Fort Collins please respond to this posting if you are interested.

Description

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Volunteers of America provides volunteer opportunities for individuals 55 years and older to use their skills, insight and lifetime experiences to assist residents and non-profit agencies in the county. RSVP also offers a variety of programs which provide services and enhance the quality of life for seniors.
