Hostelling International-Southwest Texas Council is seeking Board Members. Board members strive to develop policies, procedures and regulations to monitor the finances, programs and performance of the organization, as well as focus on hostel development in our region.

We are currently in a hostel development phase in Austin. We are looking for board members to assist us in planning and developing for new the hostel. Board members can be of assistance in planning fundraising efforts and assisting in hostel development deicisons.

The SWT council is responsible for furthering the mission by delivering HI-USA Educational Programs to the Southwest Texas region. In addition, and as a compliment to delivering Programs, the SWT council operates a 47 bed HI Hostel in Austin. Located centrally on the southeast shore of Ladybird Lake on the hike and bike trail, HI-Austin has been serving hostellers visiting Austin since 1989.
