North Scottsdale Home Delivered Meals is looking for volunteers to deliver lunch meals to homebound seniors in the Scottsdale/Paradise Valley area weekdays between 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. This easy and rewarding service only takes about two hours, one day a week! For many of our clients, our visits mean contact with the outside world and a chance to remain living at home. Some tell us it’s the best part of their day.
Volunteers are the heart of our program. Their caring dedication and generous help in the delivery of a nutritious meal is what helps our seniors maintain their independence in their home for as long as possible.

The Area Agency on Aging, Region One is a private non-profit organization that advocates, develops and delivers essential services to enhance the quality of life for older adults, persons with disabilities, people with HIV/AIDS, and caregivers.
Description
We are seeking volunteers: Teachers and Teacher assistants ASAP! Classes start September 24, 2018. The Area Agency on aging will teach older refugees to speak and read English. There is no experience needed and we will assist with the pre-literacy curriculum materials. The Area Agency on Aging is always in need for both types of tutors!
Classes ongoing at the Mosaic Center
Mondays and Fridays at Tanner Terrace apartments at 10 am to 12 noon.
Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Urban League from 1pm to 3pm.
Tuesdays and Thursdays at Beatitudes from 9am to 11 am and 12pm to 2pm.
Tuesdays and Thursday s at Helen of Drake Senior Center from 1 pm to 3 pm.
I appeal to you who have the compassion to volunteer with the Area Agency on Aging Resettlement for older refugees. Please come forward and help us in a big way, we need your help. As a reminder, classes are not held during national holidays. Thank you in advance.
