Easy to find on Liberty Street in Fremont

The City of Fremont’s Family Resource Center (FRC) is a unique place - a collaborative of more than 25 government and non-profit social service agencies working together to serve Tri-City residents with: employment; childcare info; counseling; public benefits; financial services; workshops etc. See our website at: www.fremont.gov/FRC

The FRC Core Team supports FRC-wide initiatives and projects as well as a variety of programs, classes and special events. We’re looking for one or two highly-skilled administrative assistants who can support our programs with administrative and logistical support and are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Given the breadth of our programs and fast-pace, this office is best for seasoned admins and not someone learning computer skills. The assistants will support programs for FRC staff and the public. Due to the nature of our work, volunteers will need to sign a confidentiality agreement. If you like variety in your job, new challenges and helping your community, the FRC may be for you!

Starting projects include: event support, class registration & evaluations, student surveys, data entry & stat management, social media support.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and phone skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computer skills required - competency in Microsoft Word & Excel. Powerpoint and Google Forms a plus.
  • Ability to move furniture to help set-up and take-down at events and classes.
  • Bilingual language skills are desirable, especially Mandarin and Spanish.
  • Volunteers should work a minimum of 10-15 hours a week. Preference is afternoon but we’re somewhat flexible on days & hours. There’s even an opportunity to work special events on occasional evenings or weekends if that works for you.

TO APPLY, SEND RESUME TO: frc@fremont.gov
