Mission Statement

Glendale Clean & Beautiful, Inc. operates programs encouraging residential and commercial property maintenance, litter and graffiti prevention, recycling and proper solid waste management in order to keep our neighborhoods healthy, safe and clean.

Description

Glendale Clean & Beautiful, Inc (GCB) is a 501(c)(3) non profit pubic benefit corporation established to improve the quality of Glendale's neighborhoods. The Committee operates many programs including the following:

  • Adopt-A-Block
  • Cigarette Litter Prevention Program (CLPP)
  • Foothill Community Clean Up Day
  • "GEM" Property Maintenance Awards
  • Great American Cleanup
  • Holiday Decorating Program
  • "I Love My Neighborhood" Poster Contest
  • Eco Ambassador Program
  • Keep America Beautiful Affiliate
  • Summer Night on the Plaza
  • Pet Waste Stations
  • "My Hometown" Photo Contest

GCB has thirteen members; nine represent specific community based organizations and four represent the community "at large." The group meets monthly and is organized with a structure of subcommittees, each working on different projects. The organization relies on community donations and volunteers to run its programs.
