West Valley Community Services (WVCS)* is in search of a group of about 15-20 volunteers to help out on April 18th or 19th (Saturday or Sunday). This opportunity requires heavy lifting but will be so rewarding to help our agency in this way!
A little background on the opportunity....
We have what is known as a Transitional Housing Unit, it's temporary housing (6 months to 2 years) for our clients who are homeless. There are 2 complexes on the same site, one for men and one for women, and there are 12 rooms holding two persons per room. The unit is getting a complete transformation inside with new paint and new flooring - we are so excited about this! But it does require our tenants moving out for 2 weeks. We are looking for a group to help with the move out - to help move all of the bedroom and community living room furniture out into a storage unit on-site.
We expect this to take about 3 hours for a group of 15-20 people - the date for this can be Saturday or Sunday, April 18th or 19th.
