"No One Dies Alone" Bedside Vigil Volunteer Ministry
ORGANIZATION: Avalon Hospice - Pittsburg
Please visit the new page to apply.
The goal of our Bedside Vigil Ministry is to ensure that no one dies alone. These special volunteers will be there to offer companionship for a patient when family is not present, or to support family members during this trying time.
Upon consultation with patients and caregivers, information will be provided regarding the availability of a bedside vigil volunteer. When death appears imminient, the appropriate phone calls to those specially trained will be made and a volunteer will be dispatched. Shifts will be 4 hour shifts and in a rotation.
