Cat care volunteer -- Wednesday evenings, NoHo

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: City Critters, Inc.

We are in need of a cat-savvy person to help cats every Wednesday evening at our Petsmart adoption center at 632 Broadway between Bleecker & Houston Streets in Manhattan. It means cleaning cages and feeding the cats; you can always spend fun time with them once the chores are done :-)

For the Wednesday evening shift, folks need to arrive between 5:30-7:00pm. All volunteers MUST agree to check their email at least 1x per day.

Familiarity with felines and a sense of responsibility are required, as well as the ability to commit to about 2 hours a week for at least 6 months, i.e., including the summer. Some physical strength and agility are required by the role, including the ability to reach the back of the cages to clean and to safely maneuver around a cat if a cat needs to stay in the cage when you are cleaning.

Because volunteers provide food & water to the cats and create a clean environment for them during their shift, reliability is a MUST. You need to be 18 years of age or older.

Our Application form and volunteer information flyer will be attached to the email reply you will receive. Please read, date, sign, and then submit your completed application so we can begin the process. Thank you!
