Volunteers Needed for School Fundraiser!

Community Partnership School (CPS) is looking for volunteers to assist with our annual spring fundraising event at Vie (600 N. Broad St) on April 30, 2015. Proceeds from the event will help CPS in its mission to meet talent with opportunity by providing families from a low-wealth community with a high-quality and affordable school alternative for their children.

Volunteer help is needed from 4:30pm-11pm that evening to help with event setup, registration, auction, and cleanup.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

We seek four (4) Registration Coordinators, who will be responsible for:

• Setting up nametags, materials, and equipment for the registration table
• Greeting and checking in guests as they arrive
• Processing walk-in payments
• Providing directions for guests as needed
• Assisting with auction checkout

We seek four (4) Auction Specialists, who will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the setup of silent auction items before the event
• Directing guests to various auction items
• Providing information about auction items to guests
• Assisting the auctioneer during the live auction by "spotting" bidders
• Assisting with auction checkout

We seek three (3) Technology Assistants, who will be responsible for:

• Assist with general event setup and decorations
• Providing technical support and assistance for online auction bidders
• Bidding for guests without smartphones on iPads (provided)
• Assisting the auctioneer during the live auction by "spotting" bidders
• Assisting with auction checkout

Volunteers will receive:

• An official Celebrate CPS volunteer shirt
• A buffet-style meal on the evening of the event
• A walkthrough of the venue and Qtego auction software training
• A special thank-you gift from Community Partnership School

REQUIREMENTS: Training will be provided for all volunteer positions. Volunteers should be familiar with basic technology in order to navigate our online auction system. Previous auction experience a plus. Auction Specialists and Technology Assistants should be prepared to stand for several hours in order to perform the responsibilities as described.
