ORGANIZATION: The HALO Foundation

International Ambassador Positions Available: The HALO Foundation is seeking qualified individuals to live abroad while making a difference in the lives of children in need. International Ambassadors are expected to serve a minimum of 2 years in a developing country while overseeing HALO supported orphanages or youth homes. During their commitment, Ambassadors will: *Communicate all pertinent information with HALO Headquarters on a timely basis *Create detailed home updates to share with supporters and donors *Oversee home budgets and spending * Manage mentors residing in the home(s) in addition to any HALO employees and volunteers *Maintain positive relationships with local organizations in partnerships with The HALO Foundation *Asses growth opportunities through new programs and projects *Ensure that each home is in compliance with HALO standards. *Evaluate processes and procedures for resettlement of youth residing in HALO supported homes. Individuals applying for this position need to posses strong leadership ability and must be comfortable working independently. Strong writing and communication skills are highly pertinent. Experience working in the non-profit sector is encouraged. Countries available to HALO International Ambassadors: Uganda Kenya India Mexico Nicaragua Each candidate will be placed on a case to case basis. A stipend will be offered to Ambassadors at varying levels based on costs of living in the specific area of placement. All International Ambassadors will be responsible for a portion of fund-raising for basic living expenses while abroad.

HALO provides the foundation of a family to thousands of homeless and at-risk children. At HALO, we give our homeless kids a home. It has Learning Centers and Housing programs in Kansas City, and Jefferson City, Missouri, and art programming in New York and Portland.
