This is a 1-year assignment funded through the Federal Government’s Coporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). VISTA member receives a MODEST living allowance ( Approximately $946/month) and end of service educational award ($5,550) or cash stipend ($1,500). Reports to:

Program Manager

Core Competencies:

  • Self-starter, able to work independently as well as to be a team player
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Education or background in marketing
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel to meetings and conferences and work some evenings or weekends
  • Strong sense of Business Ethics, Integrity, and Honesty
  • Creative, energetic and willing to do what is necessary to complete the job
  • Thorough knowledge of business English, spelling and grammar
  • Good communication and public speaking skills
  • Ability to generate leads and follow them through in a timely fashion
  • Possesses and maintains dependable personal transportation

Expectations:

  • Help coordinate social media presence of CFJI and Christian HELP
  • Create multimedia materials for CFJI and Christian HELP
  • Recruit volunteers for class instruction and mock interviews
  • Develop a marketing strategy to further advance presence in Central Florida Region
  • Survey class participants and suggest adjustments to the program
  • Community outreach
  • Responsible for creating and delivering marketing ideas and activities. Concepts and creates marketing materials, manages projects, and ensures company messages are consistent.
  • Create, deliver, edit, and optimize marketing materials.
  • Ensure that messages are supportive of and consistent with marketing strategies.
  • Supervise social media outreach.
  • Deliver content via LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, email, or direct mail.
  • Coordinate and deliver email campaigns.
  • Create brochures and sell sheets.
  • Coordinate flow of information and communication and disseminate it according to plan/strategy.
  • Develop marketing communications campaigns.
  • Create thought leadership materials.
  • Create and deliver press releases, media relations content, case studies, white papers, executive bios, corporate newsletter content, social media content, and speaking proposals.
  • Develop fresh story ideas.
  • Conduct extensive media outreach.
  • Improve communication efficiencies within company.
  • Manage video content.

The Central Florida Jobs Initiative is a program that has been developed to equip and empower job seekers to become excellent employees. In order to accomplish this task we offer a six full day workshop on all aspects of searching for a job with an emphasis on Performance Excellence. Our goal is to then connect employers with qualified and job ready candidates.
