Solstice Hospice & Palliative Care is looking for dedicated and supportive volunteers.
Experience the gratifying feeling of contributing to the lives of others as you provide emotional support & companionship during one of the most important times in someone’s life. Only a few hours out of your week can make a limitless difference to a terminally ill patient and their family. Hospice volunteers travel to where the patient lives, which may be either a home or a facility in the Ogden , Salt Lake Valley and surrounding areas.
Hospice Volunteers can do anything from helping out with yard work, to simply sitting with the patient to provide caregivers with a break.
Training will be provided and includes:
- Communication Skills
- Exploring issues of grief and loss
- End of life care and comfort
- Goals and philosophy of Hospice

Description
Solstice Hospice & Palliative Care is a locally owned and operated Hospice in Sugarhouse, UT and Pleasant View, UT. Our services include Nursing services, Aide services, Social Work and Chaplain visits, Bereavement services, Respite care, and Spiritual support. As a team we work to provide comfort measures to our patients, as well as support to family and caregivers.
