Are you a make-up artist who would love to give back and volunteer your services to your community? Of course you are!

Come volunteer here with us at Young Ladies of Tomorrow (YLOT) during our annual Etiquette Week Program where we beautify and celebrate our youth by accentuating their beauty through the art of make-up.

As a volunteer you will be facilitating a workshop discussing and demonstrating proper make-up application/techniques to adolescent female youth. You will demonstrate proper make-up application methods, how to match make-up to natural skin complexion, purpose of make-up products to include the variety of brushes, concealer, primer, etc. and you will perform a make-up session on one or a few youth.

Mission Statement

Young Ladies of Tomorrow’s mission is to serve as an alternative to the juvenile justice system for adolescent females from undeserved communities through a trauma-informed holistic approach to youth development programming that empowers each young lady to successfully transition into womanhood. YLOT program services provide an enriching forum for its program participants by introducing them to basic life skills, therapeutic recreation, workforce development, community service and cultural activities.

Description

YLOT's goal is to recognize each girl's issue, whether emotional and/or physical abuse, intimacy with street life, teen pregnancy, addiction, or low self-esteem (self image) and focus on discovering relevant and creative solutions. YLOT also encourages girls to examine their interests for the purpose of setting achievable short and long term goals. YLOT believes that when girls recognize the depth of their potential and govern themselves accordingly, they will become productive self-sufficient citizens and contribute to the enhancement of the community at large.
