The staff at CTB-WI consists of volunteer counselors from throughout the state and the United States. Prior camp experience is not required but is beneficial. Every counselor must complete an application, interview and screening process with background checks.
We will welcome as counselors anyone who has an interest in connecting siblings: teachers, college students, moms/dads, brothers/sisters, nurses, lawyers, computer programmers, social workers, etc. Our goal is to attract a diverse group of people who are kind, caring, responsible, nurturing, committed to youth and who understand the importance of the sibling bond.

Mission Statement
Camp to Belong-Wisconsin (CTB) is a member camp under the umbrella of Camp To Belong International. CTB-Wisconsin connects and reunites siblings involved with the child welfare system. This includes separated siblings regardless of what their particular living arrangements are (i.e. biological home, kinship providers, foster homes, adoptive homes, living independently). Our mission is for separated siblings to build and maintain connections through a variety of programs. The main program is a summer camp at which children placed in out-of-home care can be with their biological siblings to build shared memories and connections.
In addition our mission is to educate those who work with children in the child welfare system (i.e. social workers, foster care coordinators, judges, Court Appointed Special Advocates, Guardian ad Litems, public defenders, legislators, administrators, foster parents, parents, relatives, children and youth, etc.) about the importance of the sibling connection. The main goal of this mission is to prevent siblings from being separated whenever possible.
Description
Camp To Belong -Wisconsin Inc. is much like any other summer camp program with swimming, horseback riding, boating, hiking, archery, arts & crafts, theatre, and fishing.
What makes CTB-WI special?
Brothers and sisters spend quality time together in special activities that promote the sibling
relationship, which include:
Scrapbooking: All campers leave with a scrapbook containing photos taken during camp week.
Sibling pillows/quilts: Each brother and sister shares special sentiments on a handmade pillow/quilt.
Birthday party: Because many of these campers aren’t able to celebrate birthdays together, CTB throws one big birthday bash.
Opening and Closing Campfires: These campfires inspire campers to share their thoughts and feelings about their siblings and their experience at camp.
