Cat & Kitten Medical Coordinator

ORGANIZATION: Paws in the City

We need two consistent volunteers to work with our cat fosters and approved vet clinics. These volunteers would coordinate cats getting to their veterinary appointments after being tagged at the local shelter. They would coordinate with fosters to pick up cats after medical procedures are complete. The person would also keep track of immunizations & boosters for cats that are currently in fosters. Would also review invoices to make sure that services received match billing. We have approximately 30 cats in our program so the volunteer would only be responsible for a subset of those cat's medical needs. Access to email and phone is necessary during normal business hours. If you are interested in helping 2-5 hours a week, we can certainly use the help.

About Paws in the City

Location:

3824 Cedar Springs, #360, Dallas, TX 75219, US

Mission Statement

Paws In The City is an all-volunteer nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization committed to ending the abuse, neglect and overpopulation of Dallas area dogs and cats. Our goal is that every adoptable dog and cat get a loving home. By providing money for spay/neuter and increasing the adoption rate, we take the first step in making Dallas a no kill city.

Description

  1. Paws In The City has spent over 5 years rescuing and healing the abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and cats of our community. We focus on rescuing dogs and cats from the City of Dallas municipal shelter because they must euthanize almost 30,000 animals every year. We hope to make a difference.
  2. We currently do not have a shelter, but utilize foster homes and boarding facilities to board the animals in our care until a forever home can be found. Therefore we do not have employee or shelter related costs. Every dollar raised goes to foster, adoption, training, medical and spay/neuter programs.

Programs

**Rescuing, fostering and adopting dogs and cats through our foster and adoption programs

** Providing a Medical Assistance Fund which offers the public help with expensive surgeries or treatments that they could not afford on their own (for qualified applicants only)
