We need one volunteer ASAP to teach Junior Achievement's "JA Our Community" curriculum to 2nd graders at Julington Creek Elementary.
The time commitment is one 30-40 minute lesson during school hours, once a week, for 5 weeks. The teacher has requested the volunteer teach on Thursdays or Fridays. The time you come in is decided between you and the teacher.
You would teach lessons from the 2nd grade "JA Our Community" program. It consists of 5 lessons that introduce students to the intersection of work readiness and early elementary grades social studies learning objectives, including how citizens benefit from and contribute to a community's success.
No teaching experience is required!
Junior Achievement's programs are professionally developed and teach concepts of financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship. Our program staff will train you and provide a program "kit" that contains all materials needed to teach the lessons, including a guidebook.
