ORGANIZATION: Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch

We are seeking volunteers to walk, run or raise funds for our Fargo Marathon Charity Team.

Funds raised will go to support children in programs at Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch. All children in our treatment programs have experienced trauma in their young lives.

Mission Statement

We help at-risk children and their families succeed in the name of Christ.

Description

Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch serves children ages 10-18 in psychiatric residential treatment facilities in Minot, Fargo and Bismarck, North Dakota. It was established in 1952.

The Ranch staff help the children through Trauma Informated culture and care, with a primary focus in four areas:

  • Mental/Behavioral Health
  • Addiction
  • Autism (Asperger's Syndrome)
  • Sexual Responsibility

All children participate in individual, family/guardian and group therapy with our professional staff, including a psychiatrist, psychologist and therapists.

Children also participate in wellness activities and receive education on each campus in our Dakota Memorial Schools.

In addition, we have voluntary Spiritual Life, greenhouse, horse and minibike programs, depending location of the campus.

Funding for the programs is managed through the Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch Foundation.
