Bereavement phone call volunteers make supportive phone calls to our grieving families. All volunteers will be trained on hospice services. After being trained by our Bereavement Coordinator the volunteer callers can make the calls from the privacy of their own home. The amount of calls assigned is based on what your schedule will allow.

Started in 1978, SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care & Hospice offers a broad range of home care services to help people acheive independence, quality of life and peace of mind. All of us may someday be faced with our own or a loved one's life limiting illness. The last months, weeks, and days offer a time to laugh and love, to concentrate on the important issues and to say goodbye. The final moments should come with dignity and in peace. The hospice team includes professionals and volunteers who are dedicated to caring for those living with a terminal illness and their families. A volunteer is a good neighbor who gives a helping hand, is a good listener and reassures with kind words of encouragement.
