Food Pantry patrons will arrive at the pantry and are greeted by the scheduler. All of their contact information is verified and they are sceduled for a future appointment. They are then allowed to begin shopping. There are volunteer Hosts throughout the store to assist patrons with selections and options of choices. The Hosts assist the patrons in selecting the appropriate amount of each food category according to their family size. This particular job is appropriate for a people person who can engage in friendly conversation with the partron thoughout the process. Full training is provided. Flexibility is important as our food choices change daily. You can commit to as little as an hour a month.
We distribute food on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.

Hours of Operation for Volunteers: Monday-9am to 8pm; Tuesday- 8am-1pm; Wednesday- 8am-2pm, 5pm-8pm; Friday- 8am-4pm; Saturday- 8am-1pm
We rescue food through donations overseen through St. Louis Area Food Bank and Operation Food Search in St Louis as well as donations of cash and food from those in the community. We are a community based non-profit housed at 9516Rear Lackland Rd in Overland, MO 63114. We are currently distributing food using the choice pantry method to over 2000 individuals (600+ families) per month.
We do ask that each Volunteer complete an application and confidentiality agreement prior to their first day of volunteering.
