USS Midway

Operation Remembrance, April 8-23, 2015

The USS Midway rescued more than 3,000 refugees on April 30, 1975 during Operation Frequent Wind. Help us tie nearly 60,000 yellow and black ribbons in honor of those who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. All ribbons will be tied on our flight deck fence.

We can make arrangements for groups to come aboard Midway to tie ribbons as a group activity. For more information/RSVP, contact Steve Suslik at Ssuslik@midway.org, or (619) 398-8289. For groups of at least 10, museum admission is waived. While supplies last.

Groups will be welcome to visit the museum free of charge following the project. RSVP is required

Note that individuals and groups under 10 are also invited to participate in tying ribbons with general museum admission, while supplies last.
