Provide mentoring activities at least 1 hour a week to a child between the ages of 5 - 15. Activities may include helping with homework, playing games, reading, having lunch together, visiting parks, museums, riding bikes, going to movies and other suitable activities. The program's goal is to establish a lasting relationship and volunteers are asked to commit to a least a year. Volunteers are matched with a child who has a shared interest, attends school or resides in an easily accessible geographic location. Our program changes lives for the better. Established in 2000, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mississippi serves as the mentoring program for the state providing volunteer mentoring serivces to children age 5 to 15 in Central, North, and South Mississippi.
