Lend a Hand to a Senior

ORGANIZATION: Volunteer Services

Ms. M used to work as a social worker however health took precedence and she made her move to Seattle. Since then her health has continued to fail when she doesn't have enough support. It's amazing how well our clients do when someone can help something as simple as taking her laundry to the nearest laundromat-which is what she would like. Her apartment laundry facilities are never in service and piles of clothing around her home is making it difficult for her to use her walker in her home. If you have time to do 1 or 2 loads of laundry for Ms. M each month, she would be forever grateful.

Volunteer Chore Services, a program of Catholic Community Services, is committed to helping low-income adults with disabilities and elders remain independent in their own homes. Volunteers provide assistance with the everyday tasks that these elders and adults with disabilities are no longer able to do for themselves.

Due to the vulnerable population we serve, application, background and references are required.
