This is an exciting volunteer opportunity with possibility of employment for a start-up nonprofit that has a mission to help adults realize their potential, seize opportunities and make a difference in their lives. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic volunteer Director of Programs who believes in our mission, is committed to our cause, and can help our agency be effective and impactful in our operations. Initially, the Director of Programs will primarily work remotely but report to the Chief Executive Officer and the company's Board of Directors. As the agency meets its budgetary goals the Director of Programs will be offered a paid position with the agency. Below are the duties and responsibilities of the Director of Programs.
- Direct, plan and coordinate the work of the educational services department and health promotion services department staff including supervision and evaluation, training and team building.
- Organize and attend departmental meetings to maintain effective communication between departments.
- Ensure adequate and qualified staff to carry out department activities.
- Responsible for the implementation, management, supervision and evaluation of all activities of the educational and health promotion services department programs in accordance with National Standards.
- Remain up-to-date on all modifications to National Standards related to our programs in a timely and organized manner.
- Responsible for the supervision and management of the data management software for both departments.
- Compile, maintain and report on monthly, quarterly and annual program statistics for both departments.
- Analyze trends of both departments to identify issues and recommend solutions to the Chief Executive Officer.
- Implement, manage, supervise and evaluate all activities related to the educational services and health promotion services department.
- Develop, implement and evaluate recruitment strategies to expand the number of volunteers to support both departments.
- Develop, implement and evaluate recruitment strategies to expand the number of clients participating in programs of both departments.
- Represent RTE at community events and activities.
All prospective candidates will be pre-screened by telephone to assess candidate's qualifications then select candidates will be interviewed by the CEO and Board of Directors.
