Medi Hospice is looking for talented, sensitive and compassionate volunteers to make a difference in someone's life through the creation of memory bears! We need people who are willing to offer their time at home to sew special bears for bereaved families. As part of our hospice program we offer one memory bear per family after their loved one passes away. This is a free gift and given with the goal of soothing broken hearts with a tangible remembrance of their loved one. Our hospice will purchase all the necessary materials to build the bear. The bereaved provide articles of clothing, patches, hats etc which need to be downsized to fit the bear. We use a particular pattern and that will also be provided to every volunteer.
If you have a heart to serve the grieving and you have sewing skills then you can be a hospice memory bear volunteer!
If you are a compassionate, caring individual and would like to know more about this program or our patient care hospice volunteering, please call or email today!
