Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida is hosting the National Keystone Conference.

The National Keystone Conference brings teen Club members together from across the globe to engage, socialize, explore relevant issues and develop skills to support and enhance their efforts at their local Boys & Girls Clubs.

Keystone is a unique leadership development experience that provides opportunities for young members ages 14 to 18. Youth participate in activities that focus on academic success, career preparation and community service.

Keystone Club members are assisting with a community mural. We need volunteers to help put together the giant mural with the Club members.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please email me with your qualifications. Volunteers must be over the age of 18.

Mission Statement

Inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Description

The Boys & Girls Club is more than a place, it is a movement to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize thier full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.

By reaching children at an early age and providing positive activities and encouragement, Boys & Girls Clubs provide a compelling alternative to youth crime, gang membership, drugs, and other negative influences that affect our youth today. It is a safe place that kids can call their own, where a full time staff and qualified volunteers give members the opportunity to: Enjoy their interest; nuture their talents; dissolve their prejudices; express their personality; develop friendships; build self esteem; contribute to society; and achieve personal success.
